.A long-running lawful disagreement over a Marc Chagall painting that was actually returned by the Gallery of Modern Fine Art in The big apple to relatives of its own original owner has been cleared up, according to a record by the Fine art Newspaper.
Chagall's Over Vitebsk (1913 ), portraying an elderly man flighting above the Belarusian town of Vitebsk, reportedly valued at $24 million, was actually the subject over an argument over charges associated with the art work's restoration to the gallery. The job was given back by MoMA in 2021, successfully clearing up a lawful insurance claim over its own possession, but that was certainly not understood till earlier this year, when updates of it developed in a legal submission.

German gallerist Franz Matthiesen originally had the work.
